St. Robert Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice, Book 1, Chap. 23: “The twenty-first prerogative [of St. Peter] is that Christ by His own hands baptized Peter alone. For Evodius, Peter’s successor in the Episcopate of Antioch, writes in a letter entitled τὸ φῶς [The Light] that among women only the Virgin, His mother, was baptized by Christ, and among men, only Peter [was baptized by Him]; and that Andrew, James, and John were baptized by Peter, and the rest by them. This is what Euthymius relates in Chapter 3 of John and Nicephorus in Book 2, Chapter 3 of his History.””
