Baptism is necessary for Salvation
See also Against “baptisms” of desire and blood heresy.
The Sacrament of Baptism is absolutely necessary for salvation, as affirmed by numerous infallible statements from the Chair of St. Peter. The Council of Trent explicitly condemns anyone who claims baptism is optional, declaring that all men, except the Blessed Virgin Mary, are born in original sin and require baptism to be incorporated into Christ’s Mystical Body. This teaching is reinforced by Pope Eugene IV, Pope Innocent III, Pope Benedict XIV, and Pope Pius XI, all of whom emphasize that baptism is the gateway to salvation and must be performed correctly and without delay. Without faith and baptism, no one can enter the kingdom of Heaven.
