Torquemada: Those Who Deny The Filioque Are Heretics

Source: vaticancatholic.com

Noted 15th century theologian Juan de Torquemada taught that Greeks who denied the Filioque after the Church’s condemnation are to be considered heretics. That’s relevant because many in the Vatican II Sect will not say that the Eastern “Orthodox” who deny the Filioque are heretics. That’s why they hold ecumenical events with them, etc.

Juan de Torquemada, Summa De Ecclesia, Book 4, Part 2, Chap. 2, AD 1453: “… before the condemnation of their assertion the Greeks denying the Holy Spirit to proceed from the Son were not considered heretics, who nevertheless after the condemnation of the same [i.e. their denial of the Filioque] are considered among the heretics.”
